Britney Spears' much-publicised cameo in a new video by girl group The Pussycat Dolls has been axed, fueling speculation of a rift between the chart-topping pop acts.
Britney filmed her cameo for the single When I Grow Up on June 4 in Los Angeles, and the video was released on June 13.
But Britney's scene in the video - which shows the five girls getting raunchy on a construction site after being stuck in a traffic jam - has been left on the cutting room floor.
Britney was supposed to be shown as one of the stars sitting in her car in the jam.
NME.com reported no reason had been given for Britney's scene being cut, and The Pussycat Dolls would not comment on it during a recent interview.
Spokespeople for both acts have not yet been reached for comment.
